Customer wanted to consolidate their rapidly increasing data storage requirements of CAD/CAM images, Office documents and other storage intensive data critical for running their business.

The customer has gone in for 3 different storage products from SANAT to isolate and store different kinds of data in different storage boxes: 2 Nos. of 3 TB capacity and 1 No. of 2 TB capacity. All these solutions has been consolidated into separate units for storing the different types of data:

• The customer designs and generates images for various jewel designs before making the jewelry. Each of these design objects has a tendency to go to around 200MB -250MB. The customer was finding it difficult to consolidate the storage requirements without a single window managed storage solution.
  
• Due to heavy physical security requirements, the customer had CCTV cameras installed on all strategic entry / exit locations. The digital images that these cameras were generating had to be stored for a period of 30 days as part of customer's security policy for future reference.
  
• For the inter-office communication, the customer was heavily reliant on Emails that needed to be stored for various periods of time as part of their local security policy. These were all consolidated together into the mails getting stored on the storage server.
  
• Employees of the customer had been generating large documents on their local nodes and they were running a risk of losing them on a hardware crash without having a cost-effective backup / restore solution. The automatic desktop backup / restore solution powered by StorOS came in handy to secure the backup of these critical data into the storage server.
